Rim Banna 8 December 1966 – 24 March 2018 Born in Nazareth Palestine was a Palestinian singer and composer who was most known for her modern interpretations of traditional Palestinian songs and poetry. 

 

Badr Shakir al-Sayyab 24 December, 1926 – 24 December, 1964 Born in Basrah, Iraq was a poet who was regarded as one of the most important contemporary Arab poets. He is considered one of the founders of Arab free-verse poetry.  

The poem on the back of the shirt is from Badr Shakir Al Sayyab’s poem “A Stranger in the Gulf” which was repurposed in Rim Banna’s song “A Stranger in the gulf” in 2013
